Dr. Ramona Pollard

Ramona is a native of Nashville, TN. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Norwich University in Northfield, VT. After numerous years in sales and finance, she transitioned into higher education teaching Finance and Business Management.

In 2018, Ramona successfully defended her dissertation based on her passion for financial education entitled, “The Impact of Financial Literacy on Student Persistence at Two-Year Colleges: An Empirical Study”. She now holds a Doctor of Education in Higher and Post-Secondary Education from Argosy University. Ramona began her role of Academic Affairs Coordinator at Georgia Piedmont Technical College in 2019.

As the natural progression of growth continues in her life, she hopes to preside over a college in the future. Recognizing the importance of social responsibility, Ramona can be found providing seminars and workshops on her chief passion, financial literacy. She has volunteered with the United Way of Greater Atlanta, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and Women After God’s Own Heart Ministry. Currently, she serves as an ex officio trustee of the Georgia Piedmont Technical College Foundation.
